This trip has been so amazing. It has impacted so many lives, and I will remember these two weeks for the rest of my life. I consider myself fortunate to be able to experience the things I have as they have changed my life.

So what will we do?

Help us help more mothers and children in crises by adding to the number of houses.

Our building program runs throughout the year and we really need the help of willing people to speed it up. You will assist our builder by helping to pass on bricks, mixing mortar, levelling the ground and helping to dig foundations. So no special building skills are needed, and you are sure to see the walls go up while you are here, knowing you too had a part in providing hurting families put a roof over their heads.

You also have the option to help the ladies looking after the pre-school children at the Centre.

Your duties will include helping to prepare and feed the young ones, playing with them during the day, and assisting with pre-school education. These kids are hungry for love and attention, so again no skills are required, just a willingness to hug and spoil the little kids with your attention.

And you can be part of that this.

Did you say there are some sight-seeing included?

Oh yes!

Basotho Cultural Village

See how the Basotho people of this area lived thousands of years ago. Visit the museum where you can view replicas of the type of houses they lived in and see how they prepared their food and lived their daily lives. Then for lunch, taste some of the dishes that are indigenous to the Sotho people

Lion Park

Your trip will include a visit to a Game farm where they breed lions. You will be able to cuddle the cubs before going out to view the game on horseback. We will overnight here before going back home to ready ourselves for the flight back home

Accommodation

You will stay in purpose built dorm style accommodation. It is much the same as most 1st world people are used to with hot showers; electricity and the food will be much the same as eaten by most Western people. Temperatures will be hot during December, with cold nights, but low during mid year, so be sure to pack your sleeping bag, warm clothing and something to work in.
