I’ve only been here for about a week and a half, and I’m getting ready to leave, but some of the things that I have seen in this short time while visiting here were amazing. Qwaqwa, South Africa is probably the poorest place that I’ve been to in my entire life. Lesotho the same, except worse. They have no electricity or running water. It is a completely 3rd world country. Many of the people here are struggling to survive, with very little income if any. Everyone does have a house, but they are often overcrowded, and would not be suitable to live in, in most places. Just by seeing the pastors here you know that they have a huge heart for ministry. They get hardly any income, because the people are so poor and unable to tithe much. With the little money that they do get they have to run the church, and also live off of it. They don’t care about how much money they get, even if they are barely making it. They care about the people. They want to minister to their village, and offer them the only thing that can satisfy their empty hearts. Just seeing how much these pastors care about their people, has made me want to come minister here again this summer. Not only that, but all of the people here that are starving, that I will have the opportunity to serve and to minister to. In the area where we were in Lesotho missionaries rarely comes. And in Qwaqwa, only a few work amongst nearly 2 million people. That is why God has called me here. I will get to minister to people who may not have gotten the opportunity to accept Christ, and have a personal, daily relationship with him. And with that I know I will be making a difference not only in Qwaqwa, but also in the eternal kingdom of heaven.

Long-term Stay

 

We offer an opportunity to experience first hand what working in the mission field is like. If you would like to spend time helping the less fortunate to change their lives before starting your own life, this is for you.

 

Cost

We require each missionary to raise $ 500 per month. This will cover all meals, housing, transportation, living expenses, and mission trip costs for the duration of their stay. 

Visa Requirements

For short visits your visitors visa is sufficient, but for longer terms we have arranged special volunteer visas that are issued on arrival and are valid for up to 3 years.

Duration

At least 3 months but up to 3 years

            Includes all transport including to and from airport, accommodation, food, included sight-seeing trips and other missions related expenses.
